Pricing

It’s simple, pick a strain and we’ll prop it up… This includes strains you’ve always used, blends, and other house strains that you know and love. Then pick a day/time and the Yeast Beasts will deliver it to your door.

Ales

We recommend a pitch rate of 7 million cells/mL for ales under 15°P (1.060 OG). For ales over 15° Plato, we generally recommend a pitch rate of 0.75 - 1 million cells/mL/degree Plato, but we can collaborate on the specific strain-dependent pitch rate together. For stronger ales, we recommend a higher pitch rate to get the attenuation you need.

Lager

Pitch rates for lagers depend on the temperature of your fermentation. Ale pitch rates (see left) can be used if pitched in the mid-60s°F (17-19°C) and brought down to desired lager fermentation temperature after fermentation starts (typically within 12-24 hours of pitching). If pitching cold around 50°F (10°C), we recommend pitching at a higher rate (1.5 million cells/mL/ degrees Plato). Colder temperatures require sometimes double the amount of yeast as ale strains.
